Default Torque Management the evil.

We've had some questions about TQ management lately so I have came up with a few good ones too.

How does TQ management know you are abusing your drive train? That is, what trigers it?

What sensors does it use?

Why cant we make something like the 'Knock Box' to detune it with out programing the ECM?

vehicle speed, throttle position, it kicks in like when flooring it from a stand still start, and whenever shifting at higher rpms, like WOT

TM is only used during shifting. The table is based on Engine torque and shift.

Ex. 300ft lbs of torque on the 2-3 shift removes 40%.

Here is the exert from the LS1Edit manual about the table.

"3.2.4 Upshift Torque Reduction
This table controls the torque reduction during a shift as a function of Engine Torque in Foot Lbs., and Gear"
