Default Torque Convertor???

I want to put a higher stall convertor in my truck. I have in the garage a stock torque convertor out of a 2000 Camaro SS that I can have rebuilt. A place in Houston said they could up the stall for me for $275. Should I do this? Or is it not worth it and I should just save up for a Yank?

From my past drag racing experiences you are better off getting a new one. It will outlast a rebuilt one.
