Default Too much stall?

I was just wondering if there was a such thing as too much stall? I have the 3k stall and now that I have the cam in, it just seems like it stalls more than it pulls? Just wondering if I may want to go with a smaller stall?

if it "stalls more than it pulls" then you may need to go bigger. did you like the stall with the stock cam?

Yea with the stock cam it was cool. I could just toast the tires. Now it feels like it doesnt pull as hard. I will have to see tomorrow when the ground is dry and I can tell then if it pulls I mean spins about the same.

seems like you lost a little low end... more than likly a bigger stall would even be better... in actuallity.. the tr224 on my truck in my little 4.8 really needs almost a 3500 stall... even though the power band is supposed to be from 1700-6700... its more like 3000-6700 in my truck... just my .02

i don't think he needs more stall. i have the same combination and i sometimes think i have too much bottom end (on the street that is) i roast the tires from a 20 roll and bust second gear for about 2 seconds. i'd say test it out when the roads are dry. like every one else says, it takes a lil more gas in the pedal to get it moving.

I would say anything greater than 3k on a 5.3 cammed or not would be too much stall. I like my 3k.

I hope to get some new results today if it doesnt rain. But so far it isnt looking too great. Just wondering if this should feel right being that I'm now running the stock 99 program, no Hypershit, and my exhaust being what it is? I think I need to invest in a set of lts and cut out also?

You need a tune for that cam to see its full potential plus you have the worst possible pcm to start off with do an 02 upgrade and get a tune.
