Angry too many questions

I used to wonder why every one asked so many questions... now that I'm building up my truck I know exactly why

The 5.3 is going to have a radix at 8psi, magnaflow catback, dynatech supermaxx header system, and MAYBE a small cam... That in mind I know the trany will be toast. I'm looking at a few right now... the FLP 4l60e lvl 4 ($2000) and the teamtrip superduty 4l60e ($1900). From your experience is either of those built enough. Keep in mind that the closest 1/4 track is about 2 hrs away so I doubt I will be doing many track runs.. jsut mainly street duty, plus w/ stock tires I don'y think I'll hook that well anyways

Everyone seems to be going with the 4L80e.. however.. if you arent going to do nitrous or much more than what u have listed.. than i would go for a built version of the 4l60e...

and if your not doing that many track runs on a track than it shouldnt be a huge problem.. its just that the 4l60e doesnt like the heat... so maybe you should try to get a tranny cooler too.

The truck has the factory trailering package and it has a trany cooler, so that will help a bit

Use the stock one and the biggest aftermarket one you can find. That still wouldnt make me feel comfortable about the 60. Seriously though get another one and run the stock one as the secondary!

I would keep using the stocker until it blows. I have almost 80k on mine, and it is still doing well. I also pull a fairly heavy trailer 3 or 4 times a week in the summer when it's not.

Fill it up with Amsoil and get a tranny cooler. If you don't dog it too hard it should last a good long while. Not to mention...You don't really put much stress on the tranny when the wheels are spinning (grin).

I've had the super duty for almost a year. It has performed flawlessly.
