so really a good package would be to put the 6.0 aluminum heads on the ls1 with a radix and a nice cam. What does anyone think about rwhp levels. I looked on ebay and you can pick up the ls1 for around 2500-4000. Alot of these are also coming with a transmission. Never hurt to have a extra one.

I might not be a good example...I got the longblock for $500, and then did the following:
  • ARP main studs, head bolts, rod bolts
  • new cam bearings
  • new Clevite 77 "H" series bearings
  • new GM rings
  • 31# 8.1L injectors
  • TR 224 cam
  • 918 springs and TR pushrods from old setup

I haven't added everything up yet, but if I'm not mistaken I came in at just under $2500. My goal was to come in under 1/2 the price of the beloved, almighty Radix, and I think that I succeeded.

Were the 8.1 injectors direct replacements?

Hopefully because that is what I am going to be running in my LS1 here in a week or so.

Scream does that 224 lope much? Mine is on a 112lsa and I want it to kinda be a secret to unsespecting cars without turning the idle up too much

I am haveing a ton of stuff done to my heads too P&P, big valves, milled down .30 and some other things. I think the LS1 swap will definatly be worth it.

The 8.1L injectors are a direct swap. The TR224 cam has a little chop to it, but can be hidden well with a quiet exhaust. Although, I haven't had mine tuned yet.

Now I am thinking it might not be worth all the effort since I am now keeping my T/A.

I talked with one of the guys at STS (rear mount turbo guys) and if I can get the right deal I may just go with one of those and the SMC Alk kit. This way I don't have to do any swaps and makes it nice and easy for smog next year. Plus I like the idea of a turbo
