Default Too late?

Have a recently assembled 4.8 short block, wondering if it's too late to remove the gm fasteners and install ARP main/rod fasteners? Can the fasteners be replaced one at a time while others remain torqued, mainly what i'm wondering? Thx. Eric

It is to late. The ARP main studs have different clamping characteristics. If the ARP studs are used you have to have the mains line honed. However you can go ahead install the rod bolts.

I'd stay away from ARP rod bolts as well, toooooo many builds go down the tubes with ARP rod bolts.

That's new to me. Every engine I've had in the truck was never line honed and they all have had arp studs except for the stock 5.3.
