I'd search for a 6L (LQ9). You'll pay more than a 5.3L, but well worth the added cubes. The 5.3L's nice, but a 6.0L's better. PM "litreddevil" about a 6.0L. When I last talked to him, he had a couple things he was trying to sell (motors, parts, etc). Sounded like he was trying to clean out his inventory. Hell... for the right price, my 5.3L might be for sale.

 

Yes sir! Been wanting to do the swap just feel that now is the time! Yea i noticed a pretty good price difference when i was checkin out motors....im really trying to budget this so i may go with a 5.3 for now....i didnt have good luck searching for headers i read back on your thread about your swap and how you said you didnt wanna cut the frame for the pacecetters....im not a fan of that either so i may be sporting the manifolds till i find something that'll work!

 

Got me a motor!,Im buying it from a neighbor its a 00' 5.3 with 70k fully complete! Im stoked!!! I'll post pics when i pick it up either 2marow or wednesday!

 

So did you get the motor? What kinda time frame are you lookin at before you get it installed and running?

I have a 5.3 out of a 05 truck. Had 50,000 when it was pulled out.. Let me know if your interested.. I need to get rid of it.
