Default Timing gear help.

Could someone tell me the exact way to line up the timing gear on my 06 lq9 ? 6 oclock -12 oclock dot to dot ? intake stroke , compression stroke? Heard 10 different ways from 5 people lol.

You can put one up, dot to dot is the way I have done them..
