I've got a little over 56,000 on my truck and the Transmission is acting real weird, I can't really explain it, I think it might be the tranny fluid. It's time for it to be changed anyway.
What is a good Transmission Fluid at a low cost?
(I'll probably change it very soon again anyway) Please give the brand and weight and whatever else I need to know! I don't know crap about it - my girlfriend's dad is going to help me do it (he doesn't know anything about a truck made after 1991).
How much do I need to buy?
Where do I get it from?
Any tips on changing it?
Thanks guys!

I use a good name brand kit and name brand fluid
I use Castrol Trans fluid.
I clean the magnet real well.
I also always add a bottle of ATI additive - - avail at most tranny shops
The rebuilder I use highly recommends it.....
I have had him build a dozen boxes for me...
