time for 6.0 swap. few questions

my 4.8 popped yesterday so the time has come.

i wont have to do any mods at all to a lq4/lq9 to bolt straight in plug my 4.8 harness up? just have 4.8 ecu sent to be tuned? right?

That is correct, just make sure that you use the 4.8 flywheel if you're using the trans that the truck came with.

I have a 2004 lq4 6.0 complete but no trans i dont need since i bought a nnbs cc

i cant find many 6.0 in town so i found buncha 5.3s is it the same swap over as the 6.0?

do i needa switch anything on the 5.3 from the 4.8

The PCM will need adjustments, but everything else will bolt up the same.

Honestly just wait till you do come across a 6.0

Everything swaps over

Depending on hp is where i would decide what trans to go with. If you plan to keep it mild, a built 65 0r 60 should do you fine. Along with a decent converter-3000. and a decent cam in the 218-220 range.. You should be plenty happy

man i cant give this 6 0 away it was the hottest thing when i was looking to do the swap now all i get are window shoppers

the 6.0s i have found. dont have alternator. starter so on and no wiring harness.

will all that 4.8 parts fit no problems? what baout manifolds? im gonna buy a motor tommorow
