LQ4/9-4L80E.

I would go with something around 220s 218s, you have alot of truck to be moving

2001+ 6.0 with aluminum heads is what you want. i wouldnt get a 4l80 in that crew cab i would just beef up your 4l60 especially since its pretty new. look into the tsp 220 with a 3000 stall.

Shouldn't an '07 still be under warranty?

If you're commuting ~100 miles a day, either a 5.3L or 5.7L would return better gas mileage than both the 4.8L and 6.0L.

No doubt, go use that warranty, have them put the new motor or good parts in whichever then pull it and sell it. Make a few dollars to put towards the new build!

i wish i could warranty but it went out a year ago at 36k miles i now have 70k.

so lq4/lq9 will all bolt right in? can i get a bare long block and switch all my accessories over? and a local shop has a heck of a deal on a 4l60e build il run with.

and im gonna be installing 4.56-4.88s truck is a pre runner style on 35s, maybe going 37s

I was not aware of the 35-37" daily driven crew cab idea.

Re-using your 4.8L block and turning it into a 6.3L would yield the best gains for a lifted truck.

Do an LQ9 with a mild tr224 cam and maybe some head work, long tubes and a nice 3k-3200 stall and call it a day.

Warranty doesn't cover an engine that ingested water, it's not the General's fault that floods and deep puddles happen

For a daily driven CC that's goes 100 miles a day and doesn't want a large verter, I'd go with the afore mentioned 01+ LQ4/9, a mild cam like a 216/220 or 218/22x on a 114, a Yank TT2600, and an FLT Level 5 4L65E
