Doesn't make noise all the time cold or warmed up, after sitting or after driving 30 miles. I tried to post videos of it normal and then ticking during same day but it's not letting me. Any help is appreciated and hopefully budget friendly ideas.

 

Have audio just can't get it to upload if someone can help me out. Might help diagnosis.

 

Change your valve springs and lifters.......problem solved

 

Cam upgrade on 170k motor or look for 6.0 pullout? Have rebuilt 4l60 and eaton posi so motor is only high mileage part left. Just wondering if doing cam springs pr's and lifters are good idea with 170k or start saving for 6.0. Thanks for the reply. My CCSB on 35's with 4.56's is big like truck in ur sig. How was yours on low end and was it a DD?

Could be an exhaust leak.

 

What have you done recently to the motor?

 

I haven't touched it performance wise. Just oil changes and stuff like that. Have video if someone can upload for me if I email or text to someone. Just so random when it happens and not everyday or for very long.

 

I would think exhaust leak as well but exhaust leak would be heard 100% of the time not only after 30 miles.
