Default Thoughts on cam?

Looking at getting a custom grind comp. Specs are 218/224 .563 .568 on a 112lsa and 108 icl. This is using the XE lobes.

I was thinking if I ran it on a 114lsa I MIGHT be pushing the liimits of my 3200 stall.....being on a 112 I would think it would help avoid that issue.....? Or should i consider a 110 lsa? or is this cam possibly just too big for my setup?

put it on a 114lsa and run it, I betting you'll be happy with it. Everyone wants a 110 or 112 lsa so it will "chop". It can sound ike it's fast as hell but if it doesnt run worth a **** what's it matter? 114 is good for trucks it rounds out your powerband better. Not saying that 112lsa isnt good either it just depends on what your doing with the truck. Since I know you drive your's everyday I would put it on a 114 or 115. more power across the curve, not just peak power.

it depends on what you want from the setup
do you want more peak power or do you want less peak power with more under the curve?
tighter LSA will be peakier with more power at peak, wider lsa will have broader powerband with less peak

sounds like 114 then. i want a broader powerband cause i don't want to have to wait til 4k rpm's before the truck really pulls.....want it to come on right away and pull hard to around 6200-6300

A tighter lsa will build power quicker in lower rpm's and peak quicker...

my truck has a much smaller cam so that might make a difference but im on a 113 lsa and it kicked in really hard at 3000k .. i ran a 9.3 on the 1/8 with 3.73 and no stall... ill post numbers as soon as i get my new set up tuned...
