Thinking of getting a new truck....

As far as I know, The L59 is only availiable in the Tahoe,Yukon and Suburbans. The LM7 is the 5.3 that is in the trucks. Unless they added it for 03. The performance #'s on the L59 are the same as the LM7 285hp@5200 and 325tq@4000. I'm not sure what the differance in the LM7 and L59 are. The GM specs, show the same other than the vehicles they are availiable in. If you are use to the WS6, you will thing the trucks suck. But you can get the mod bug. Keep the WS6 and get the truck to tow it to the track.

QiuckWS6 - you been reading this months "Gm high tech performance" mag? What you are asking is in the short article about the new SS truck.
You will probably have to custom order that truck or you'll never find exactly what you want. Problem is, you probably won't be able to order on '02, so you'll need to decide if you like the new chevy front end or go with the GMC.
You could buy a 4.8 truck, purchase a 6.0 from a reliable source, swap it in w/ a cam. Then sell your "brand new" 4.8 and be out very little money. The dealer wouldn't know you had a 6.0 in unless there was some major engine problems they had to warranty. With traction you are mid-low 13s N/A. It would take just a little money to play with and some time.
