I just got done swapping the thermostat out in my 05 silverado I put a 160 slp unit in Then took it out for test spin temp still reads right about 210 WHAT IN THE !@?#&# has anyone else done this?

The factory guage isn't exactly accurate, plus, without re-tuning the e-fans to come on sooner, you really can't reap the full benefits of the cooler stat. (does your truck have e-fans?...I thought that 05's do)

yes they do you have to tune them also
