Default Cooling system - Stock thermo of 212* and Burping...

Well I noticed that on the back of my stock thermo it has been stamped with a 100*C or 212*F! Is that where that thing was opening at?

How can I besure my cooling system is fully burped? I filled the radiator after the thermostat swap. Then filled the **** out of the overflow bottle. Let it idle for ~1 min and it didn't seem to take in any more coolant...ANY IDEAS?

Thanks!

I think the procedure for filling is to fill the coolant to the full line and then rev the engine from idle to like 3000rpm and hold it for a few seconds. Repeat the idle to 3000rpm deal a few times and then check the coolant and fill as necessary. Keep doing that until you don't have to put any more coolant in. I could look it up but, I'm feeling lazy right now. :p That's about what I did when I had to refill my cooling system.

Oh yeah, I think you need to leave the coolant tank cap on loose while doing that.

I guess I'll look it up since I don't want to be responsible if your engine blows up. I might not do it until later though. :p

I've driven it around quite a bit and that resivor stays full...does that mean the cooling system is full?
