Is there a reason I shouldn't buy a SLP 402 shortblock?

The problem with the SLP motors was the pistons. The ring lands were collapsing. They use Ross pistons and that was there problem. I read that post on LS1 Tech about ten times. I would build it yourself with the parts you want in it or go with a company that has a good rep like texas speed.
