It pulled hard down low on my 5.3. It wasnt a good blower cam so I recently swapped it. The Vinci website says a higher stall converter is required but I dont understand why. The power range starts at 1900 which is almost exactly where a stock converter flashes. Not trying to sell you mine but it, or a similar cam would work well for you. Thunder550 is selling one that would work for you as well.

Nice cam...wish I was ready to purchase.

what gears are you running, shift points, etc...odds are with that cam you are probably shifting well before it reaches peak HP. if that is the case it is possible depending on your gears, shift points, TC shift extension, and the rpm where the cam makes peak HP, you could be falling measureably below peak torque after a shift which can kill your ET. but, then you are driving a EC 4WD which is a heavy SOB for racing purposes.

I'd say your LSA is way to high for the convertor you are running. Also with that cam i woudn't shift under 6600rpms.
If you want to keep that cam go larger stall. Otherwise get a cam with more mid range grunt instead of high end power.
You really need to lower your lsa alot 116 is overkill.IMO.

Stock gears (3.73's). Allen tuned it in person after the cam install, but not after the converter & header install. So maybe you're right about the shift points and all, I dunno. And there are other guys running Z71's with considerably better times than me, and in some cases, with less mods.

I'd rather get a different cam I think. I'm happy with the converter. So far, from everyones input, I've gathered that my LSA is too high and I may need to get a tighter duration. So I may start looking for a cam. I emailed Thunder Racing with my specs, told them my issues and goals, and asked what they think I should run. Hopefully I'll hear back from them.
