...how cam specs affect torque and hp?

I ask because I'm still perturbed about my track times (best of 15.08). I'm wondering if my cam (specs in sig) are giving me more top end and costing me torque?

Is there a cam I'd be better off with to improve 1/4 mile times without killing mid-top end?

Cant answer your question but I can relate. I was stuck at 15.03/103mph and it was driving me nuts.
What is the trap speed?
What is your RPM when you cross the traps and in what gear? What size tire and final gear ratio?

LSA is too wide IMO. You are running a blower cam of sorts that would go well with a radix. If you are NA, i would stick to a tight LSA which makes more torque under the curve.

general rule.... bigger lift is power higher in the rpm band.... which takes frm low rpm TQ

Best speed was 90.54. Not sure about RPM's. Stock tires and gears (265-75R16's, 3.73's).

Someone else said the same thing about the LSA.

When I got the cam, I didn't have headers, and I was told by Futral that it would work well since I was probably getting air to the engine faster than it could get rid of it (?). They said the split duration would compensate for it. I may start looking for another cam.

I'm selling this one right now:
https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=380843

It pulled hard down low on my 5.3. It wasnt a good blower cam so I recently swapped it. The Vinci website says a higher stall converter is required but I dont understand why. The power range starts at 1900 which is almost exactly where a stock converter flashes. Not trying to sell you mine but it, or a similar cam would work well for you. Thunder550 is selling one that would work for you as well.
