Default terrible engine/transmission whine, HELP!

I was driving home after work, and I wanted to catch the green light out of the parking lot. i went over a speed bump (one of those wide, comfortable ones, not the tall and narrow kind.) i hit the gas over the bump, take a mild right turn and i hear this awful whine that is insync with my RPM's. i immediately pull over to investigate, but i didn't find anything. no smell, no smoke, and nothing was runover. i continue on driving, and although the sound isn't as loud as it was before, it is still present.

i will see how the truck drives tomarrow morning, hopefully it was just a fluke. but if anyone has any idea of what might be wrong with my truck, please let me know ASAP. being afraid to drive your own truck is a dreadful feeling!

Sounds like the rear end. When you hit the gas over the speed bump the rear tires probably came off the ground a bit and when they hit the ground it puts quite a shock on the rearend if your foots still on the gas.
