Tci torque converter
#1
need your opinion I was thinkin about gettin a converter for my 2000 gmc 4.8 ecsb and was wondering if the tci street fighter would be too much i think its 3000-3500 stall over stock. these convertors seem like their good

It's very streetable, easy to get used to. Its rated stall
is 3000RPM, not 3000 over stock (1800 on an FBody).
The lockup clutch on these is not very strong in my
experience and if you tow you probably want something
more trucklike (multidisc or bigger clutch I expect).

The Yank Truck Thrusters have a factory towing limit up to the TT3000. That converter is VERY streetable and makes it a lot of fun to drive. If you have traction problems now, you better do something before the convertor because it will be worse.
