Default TBSS intakes

How are the TBSS intakes different than other truck intakes?

They are a little bigger then the nbs intakes. The nnbs intakes are supposed to be the same as the TBSS intakes.

I have one forsale if interested.

Larger throttle body opening is one difference for sure. I'm not sure otherwise.

The 4 bolt 90mm tb opening on the tbss/nnbs intake is the biggest difference.

Yes, as long as it comes from a 4.8/5.3 truck or a TBSS.

Yep, if it has the rectangular intake ports its for the L92 engine or the nnbs 6.0l and will need the l92 heads. The tbss intake has the cathedral intake ports and will bolt right up. Depending on the year of your truck it could be return style or returnless. The tbss intakes have a returnless style fuel rail.

I'm not sure the runners are that much larger, but the intake port is a lot bigger as everyone else already mentioned in 90mm vs. 78mm. The volume of the intake is also a lot larger too, it flows a lot more air than the stock intake can.

Are there any cable throttle bodies out there that will work on a TBSS intake? I'm interested in swapping one into my '01 5.3L.

Does the TBSS or NBSS intake have an EGR port?
