See I have the TB...can't remember for the life of me where I got it but researched the number and that's the one I need. The tbss intakes are around 140 new on eBay. I might check on fuel rails too. I'd rather get it all setup off the truck beings it's my DD than to dick around with making it work within a certain timeframe and dealing with Murphy's law. So the tbss/nnbs rails are the same correct?

Remember all of the Gen IV 4.8's and 5.3's got the same intake as the TBSS and if you can find one off a flex fuel truck it should come with 36# injectors instead of the stock TBSS injectors that are 29#. If you still have the stock '03 5.3 injectors on your truck I think they're around 25# so either should be an upgrade for you. FWIW I found my TBSS intake for $140 (w/TB, injectors, fuel rails, and sensors) and then picked up a new set of the 36# injectors for $55 off ebay.

ya i usually dont have good luck with "deals" lol. im usually too late when i find them. i looked last night at nnbs rails on ebay and just for a set of used rails they were like 230. i might just find some aftermarket rails to run if thats the case. i put up a post in the WTB section so maybe someone will see it.

Default T/b

Run the stock 87mm t/b it's more than enough
for a 5.3. you can remove that lump on the bottom
and pretty it up for a smoother air flow.

The only thing that needs to be accounted for, is that the flex fuel equipped trucks had a different fuel rail to accommodate the taller flex fuel injectors. If you plan to use another (shorter) injector with that rail, you may need injector spacers to make up the difference in height. The non flex fuel trucks came with rails that were the correct height to retain your shorter oem 99-07 injectors.
