Yes i know of geoff at eps, and im sure he does know cams very well. What im getting at here is how and what does he know about the tbss intake, and facts not assumptions..
I just dont see there being that much of a difference to cause a fall off of lower end air velocity and cause your "bogging". everything i have seen indicates either same low-end power if not more power under the curve all the way through..
Did geoff tune your truck after the intake install?

i had the tune checked and there was no adjustment we could do but it wasnt by geoff

I lost .2 to 1/8 mile and .2 at the 1/4
A total of .4 tenths and 4 mph
My truck has been to the track after every mod and is consistant so i know what hurts and helps me

yall are welcome to do what you want this is what it did on my truck so i am sharing my trial and error with others

On 706 heads, maybe nothing to be had there. Its not a problem with the intake on the 5.3, its a bottleneck effect that the 706's have, they have smaller ports and are built for more velocity. You could put a vic jr on a 706 head and still not gain anything anywhere in the rpms. There is a reason GM puts this intake on with the 243's on the NNBS engines, 4.8's included. If you had the heads to support the extra flow, it will gain over the 78 mm setup, no doubt.

Default Leave it up to me

Here I am, revitalizing an 11 year old thread…anywho.
I just picked up a TBSS intake from Glenns Auto Performance with 50lb injectors. Want to put it on my 5.3 and was wondering if you guys think I’ll have an issue.

5.3 punched 40 over with an ls1 crank turned 10/10. Flat top hypereutectic pistons. Texas Speed Low Lift
Stage 2 Camshaft: 212/218, .550"/.550", 114 LSA, 111
ICL.
HERES MY CONCERN—> stock 706 heads, only upgrade is LS6 valve springs. I’ve also got a 102mm throttle body or the stock 78mm.

what do you guys think I can expect?

Have an issue with what exactly, i dont see a real question? this intake wont lose power with any reasonable combo imo, its one of the best oem intake manifolds around.
The only concern i see is ls6 valve springs, buy some real springs, even if they are rated enough for that lift..
