I would say it had alot to do with the low lift. Whats your cam n mods?

BUT a reasonable cammed 5.3 with bolt-ons and 6300 shift points that intake will hurt
I might sell this setup and use the cash for a LSXRT for my LQ9 build this fall....
I just got the fuel rails back from getting the AN -6 fitting welded on so would be a complete kit for someone running a Drive By Cable setup and return style fuel rails...

Very possible it may have gained above 6k rpm but with my setup i wanted torque down low which i lost with the tbss intake
Its a good intake just not for small engines.
Can you go a little more in depth as to what was discussed between you and your cam designer? How did you come to this conclusion? just curious..

I would think working the 706 heads and port matching the intake would be the more cost effective way to go.

I was under the impression that the only differences between the two was plenum volume. Have any info that the runners are indeed different?

no i have numbers on the runner issue
But i was told this by someone who designs and specs cams for a living
So i trust him
He has done way more research on this than us!
