Default TB Coolant Bypass Part?

Which connector do I need to successfully complete this mod? I have an AutoZone right up from the house so I just need the part ## for the connector. Thanks.

Its just a hose butt splice, and some small hose clamps. I forgot the size, but most of them are stepped anyway for different sizes.

Or just get a 3 foot piece of hose and run it from the radiator to the hole on the block. Never understood why people splice them together its much easier and less chance fro leaks just to pick a up a piece of rubber hose and bypass all that splicing bs.

The other way could be beneficial in colder climates I guess...this way the mod can be undone easier in the winter if necessary?

Very true. Most people that I've heard doing this mod do the splice like I did. I'm back to normal now because my splice ruptured. I just didn't know where to get the hose or how much it'd cost.

Got mine at the local autoparts store jsut tell them you need 3 foot of 3/4 rubber fuel hose they can cut it for you and then get two hose clamps and 3 minutes later its done.

As far as the cold climate thing it is only for if are in like -15* weather. Its suppose to keep the TB from stickign open so you be the judge of how cold it needs to be for the TB to stick open with all the engine heat right there.

From the factory there is a coolant line that runs coolant through the throttle body to keep it from freezing up in extreme cold temperatures. The bypass keeps the coolant from running through the throttle body since the coolant is heating up the air flowing into the throttle body. Its only worth 2-3 hp if that but every bit helps.

LOL. I only did it cause I screwed up those damn metal clips that hold the factory hose to the TB cause I pulled the heads for my cam swap cause I had to switch out the lifters. It is worth maybe a couple of hp I just did for the reason above I have yet to see a dyno chart showing a gain on a LS1 but there may be one out there. I dont even count it as a mod in my sig
