It re routes the coolant line so it doesn't run through the underside of your throttlebody thus cooling inlet air temp's. One of the free mods that probably doesn't do much for your HP but it can't hurt. It does significantly reduce the temps of your TB to the point where you can touch it.

Supposed to avoid circulating coolant around the throttle body resulting in lower IAT.

What about throwing a ball-valve in front of it like you would do to bypass your heater core?

How cold does it get in the winter?? It gets fairly chilly here, so that's why I'm thinking about throwing the ball valve in there. So I can activate it and my heater core quickly and easily.

oh, 60's nothing. Do it man!! Do it now!!!

Our winters get down in the single digits, which by Texans' standards is VERY cold. I expect a snide remark or two from some of the Yanks on this forum.

Not from me. That's f***ing cold by anyone's standards. I can be outside in shorts & a t-shirt until about 20 degrees. Wind kills me. When you here it's like 3 degrees outside, you just want to crawl back into bed.

Do the mod, don't look back. I did it, and I'm not worried.

And to me, anything over 75 is hot, over 85 and I'll be in the pool or in the comfort of an air conditioned place.
