Default switched to LT & ORY + tune = 0 gains

At least in the 1/8 mi. anyway. Went to the strip fri nite, was a rain out but managed 3 passes, all pretty much the same as before...2.1 60ft.,8.9et,81mph. Gotta admit the truck sounds awesome now and maybe just maybe theres more wheelspin thats why no gains in the #'s. For the record I used pacesetter LT & ORY into Gibson supertruck ex. and ED Wright retune for the changes.
I agree that LT's are better especially if you keep adding more power but are over rated as better than shorties for most applications...its splittin hairs.

What was the weather like compared to the last time you were at the track?

My ecsb picked up 2 tenths in the quarter with longtubes. This was also the last bolt on mod i did which we all know the more you do the less the gains seem down the line.

KevinF56 and TouchOfEvil were your gains with LT's over Shortys or over stock manifolds?
I am about to swap out my shortys for LT's...hmm.

Mine was from stock manifolds to the LT's. But i didn't have the truck tuned for them ethier.I basically bolted them on"last" of the bolt on's i could do and gained 2 tenths with em untuned and all.

I think if i had done em first in line rather than last i might have gotten 3 tenths maybe better from em.

I went from manifolds and cats to Pacesetter longtubes and an ORY pipe. After I tuned it I got A LOT more horsepower(seat of the pants). It definetily pulls a lot harder in the upper rpms.

Do you have a mail order tune, dyno tune, or street tune?
