I know they are different due to the trucks having a regulator on the fuel rail but what else is different and also what else would be required to change to the f-body fuel rails.

Look for a 97 C5 fuel rail. It has the regulated fuel return line on the rail just like the trucks. It will be an easier swap.
Is this question about putting the car rail on a truck intake, or moving to a car intake as well?

you can use the '97 or '98 C5 rails, they both have the regulated return line
I am currently doing an truck-to-LS1 intake swap (as soon as I find a '97/'98 fuel rail that is) and NOTHING fuel-related is interchangeable between the f-body intake and the truck intake, you have to swap injectors, rails, injector harness plugs, and the EVAP sensor

I have a C5 rail w/ return line.
From my calculations, it looks like you can fit a truck injector in the intake, and mod the fuel rail to sit down another 3/5th of an inch. Then you can use your currnet injector and harness.
