Default swapping out a 6.2 for a 5.3 or 4.8 in a 2011 denali awd

im wanting to replace my 6.2 with a 5.3 or 4.8 ,i have never done this and need to know what is need,need the 6.2 for another project,any help .gary

Don't do a 4.8, you'll hate that.

Find a GEN 4 5.3 from 2010+ because of the VVT, then plop the whole thing in there. You will have to flash the computer with a tune file that will support the smaller 5.3 engine. A simple copy/paste of information from a 2011 5.3 file would do the trick with HP Tuners.

The later 4.8s have VVT as well.

Just go back with a 6.2. You will destroy the trucks value or really **** someone off that ends up with it thinking 6.2...
