Default swapped from SLP to magnaflow

Just got back from the exhaust shop, i swapped the slp resonator for a round 14" magnaflow, the slp sounded very good at idle and WOT but the partial throttle had some unwanted rasp and even if i dont use my truck much it just gets old. Now the magnaflow so far is a whole lot quieter at idle and WOT but the partial throttle is perfect with zero rasp. Overall im happy but i really wish the magnaflow could be a little more louder at idle and WOT, maybe it will after it gets a few hundred miles on it.

My experience with mangaflow mufflers is that they gradually get louder. I have replaced mine 3 times cause it kept getting louder

Currently i have a 5x18 round and 5x11x22 oval in series. I like the way it sounds now

I hope it gets louder aslong as the rasp stays away...

Which round one did you get? 4, 5, or 7" round?

I just put a 4x14" round in front of my 22" si/so magnaflow and it is still too loud around town and screams at WOT. Probably going to 6 or 7" round depending on how much clearance I have under there.

when i replaced my little borla xr1 with a magnaflow 14" case. i thought i had messed up because it was waay to quiet, but after a while of driving on it its what i would call broke in and sounds about perfect for what i wanted. also no rasp as mentioned which is great
give it some time before you completely make up your mind..

So is the 12619 your only muffler or do you have it in a series?

Yeah, me too

Yeah its the only muffler on there. Maybe yours is louder cause its a SUV and is under the cab no matter where you put it?
