Default Swap Dilemma - Need some advice

OK, here is the dilemma. I am thinking two routes for the future...ok three, but the third is a little more of a stretch. I'm gonna guestimate high on all my $ values.

The first two are 6.0 drop in ideas. The debate is doing a shortblock or longblock. Regardless of either, I plan on adding to the engine:
- TOG Headers - $900
- Some cam, either the tried and true 212/218.522/529 114, or the higher lift version 212/218 .558.563 114. - $400
- Patriot heads - Haven't heard many people doing this, is there a reason? - $1200
- Exhaust

1) 6.0 Short block - $800??
I would then have to get my hands on:
- Intake - no clue??
- Springs, lifters, rods - ??
- Oil pan - ??

2) 6.0 Long Block - $2000
It would just be swapping out parts and reselling the others, right?

3) With all this turbo talk that came into my head for the 4.8. I basically want to be throwing 350's to the ground.

Thanks guys,
Andrew
