I'd definatley look into a complete cold air kit. I was driving mine last night without the metal shroud for the K&N FIPK and my IAT's were 110 or so. That's with outside temps of 80-85. With the shroud in before, my IAT's were close to ambient temp. That hot air from the engine compartment will defiantley be an issue when running a blower.

it wouldn't fix anything but would let you know what's up and what you need to fix.
they would charge for the time and it's a matter of finding someone with the interest to do it. would be a place to start.

I'll try that. The only prob is that all the performance shops around here are Ford shops. There has to be an Fbody shop near here.

you don't even need to go to speed shop, any well equipped garage could
look at the stuff.

Something else I didn't see mentioned was running a 160* t-stat. That might help get those under hood temps a little lower. Does the ortech system have an intercooler? From the sounds of it, it didn't. If not, that might be a little much timing.

Ive got a 180 stat right now. Should I switch to a 160?? Im going to have a local guy tune the truck, but at $500 a shot I wanted to wait to get the Alky, headers, and smaller pulley. I just put the stock airbox on and will be doing a scoop tomorrow. Its just so hot!!

Also would a 34' radiator help with things??? I need to speak with Lyndon tomorrow and see how much fuel he has it set at. Im running 43 lb injectors so I know Ive got enough flow available. Im thinking that it would be better to richen it up a bit to be safe. Until then Im not going to put it in boost. I dont want any cracked pistons. Any other opinions/ ideas are appreciated.
