i was wondering if anyone had tried the headers for the 4.8/5.3 chevy truck that summit makes? they're economically priced and was just wondering if anyone had any feedback. thanks in advance for all replies

Nope....

SUM-G9048 1999-2001 full size pickup, 5.3L

I assume they'll fit others as well, but who knows. They are most likely shorties, and I have NEVER seen any pics of them. It does have a footnote though saying that they are not smog legal. They probably don't have EGR provisions.

I've always contemplated buying these and making long tubes out of them, or using them for a turbo setup. They're only $170, so who knows?

edit: I did find a pic of them on thier website. I guess they updated it. They do have EGR provisions, but I doubt the have a CARB EO #. They allright for what they cost. I'd still make long tubes out of them!

I can't get the damned link to work. Just go here, click on headers---> Summit truck headers-----> and the part # listed above.

I am running a set on my truck and so is a buddy of mine. They fit great don't leak and give a nice increase in power.

Thanks,
Chris D.
