Submersible fuel line for fuel pump
#11
Just ordered Gates 27093, 1' length 5/16 ID submersible fuel injection line, from my local O'Reillys for $26. I prefer not to risk it. It's only a 2-hour job to swap the line.
I'll do an experiment and soak my spare H357 hose in gas and see what happens.

That stuff on jegs is what I run. And yeah, if its not rated for submersion it will swell up and either burst or blow off of a connector. That dayco **** did it like 3 separate times. Went -6 braided after that..

Call Lonnie at lonnies performance and get some stock plastic corrugated line with the special Otiker (sp.?) clamps that the factory uses as they dont pinch the line causing a leak.
This stuff lasts for years and isnt expensive. Just my advice bud.

I swapped the line today, and good thing I did!!!
The hose actually wasn't in bad shape. It did swell slightly and feels a little mushier. But here's the part that got me. The side of the hose says
"FUEL VAPOR >PCV/EEC< 5/16 INCH (8.0mm) SAE 30R7 NOT FOR FUEL INJECTION SYSTEMS MADE IN U.S.A. BY GATES"
No wonder it was so cheap, those dumbasses gave me the wrong hose. I'm very glad I swapped it out. The Gates 27093 fit perfectly. Took about 1.5 hours to change.
