Stupid question of the day, Plug Wires?
#1
When replacing plug wires does the metal insulator that sheilds the outside of the boot/spark plug come off with the spark plug wire or can it stay installed and the new wires just slid back inside the metal shield? Are the plug wires supposed to be an extremely tight fit on the plug itself when installed, seems like the factory wires are really snug and kind of a bitch to pull off? Maybe I just need to hit the gym? Any help is appreciated, Thanks-

if your using stock wires then yes. if your going with some msd's then i discard the metal sleves. either way you want to feel a "click" when you put the new wires on. sometimes if i am not sure i am geting the click i put a little squirt of windex inside the boot. lets the wire slip right on and you can feel the click.
