thanks guys, I have a lot to think about know that I have heard all of your opinions. I still believe I am going thru with my idea just to see what it will do, I will probably start in a couple months when I get everything in order, and yes I plan on doing it myself, being at the top of my automotive technology class.

I just bought a complete long block 6.0L from Jon Barrett Racing for $1600.00. It's a completely new engine with intake manifold, throttle body, and harmonic balancer. They even shipped it for 172.00 to my door.

I went to Jon Barrett and found a few things, no 6.0L for $1600 though.

They sold me the engine through Ebay but from what I understand they get these engines all the time. Apparently they purchase large quantities of engines directly from GM so they get good prices. I have to say the engine delivered to me was exactly as described. I spoke to a guy named George. He handles the ebay auctions. Give him a call if you are interested in an engine 800-342-6015. Just so you guys don't think I am BSing you here is the link to the ebay auction. Oh and by the way the shipping as previously posted was a typo. They shipped it to me for $127.32 from OK to GA to my door.

I sure hope their engine building is better than their spelling and grammar.

Fun Guy,
I asked them if they assembled these engines and they told me that they are purchased directly from GM. Don't know what is up with the grammar

I was considering the same engine from John Barrett, but it is the older one for use with the 4L80E so I had to pass. Are you running the 4L80E sierrac3?
