Correct, the exhaust gasses slow down and actually hinder exhaust scavenging.

I'd keep the money in a bank account, save it up for a V-8 swap... that's the best way to spend your money at this point.

Also, i didnt actualy run pipes out. I just went cheap and took a saw to the pipe in front of the muffler so its dumping under the bed.
