Default Stock T-stat ?

What is the stock thermostat temp. setting on the 04 vho & ss trucks? I was told 185. If this is true, would it benefit me to change to a 160 or 180 with my setup? My setup is Magnaflow cat-back, Airaid intake & tb spacer, & a Diablosport Predator programmer. Thanks for the response and thanks for all of the new found knowledge!

There are a lot of opinions both pro and con on the 160 t'stat. I have one and don't know if it is actually of benefit or not. I will tell you that the other two mods you want to do in your sig ARE beneficial. The headers and efans helped my truck a lot, but you need to tune for them.

Another thing (off topic), do you have some pics of your truck? I'd like to see that color and what it looks like lowered.
