Stock LS6 head on a LQ9

What kind of CR would be created by this combo? Would be going from the 6.0's 71.06cc to the LS6's 64.45cc.
Do you think there would be any PTV clearance issues at .600" lift because of the smaller chambers?
I'm thinking this may be a easy way of increasing CR and flow & still leave room for P&P improvements later. Lighter valves and LS6 springs would make for an improved valvetrain also.
What would be the negatives? Definitely added price. Does anyone know if the truck intake and LS6 head have any conflicts. I know they should basically fit, but maybe their ports are different or aren't ideally matched?

Well Gregg, doing a little more accurate computations, with stock head gaskets I think it will raise compression from 10:1 to just about 10.8:1. Thats based off a 71cc chamber of the LQ9 head and 64cc for the LS6 head.
A better option might be milling the LQ9 head .010 and using the felpro LS1 1041 head gasket (4.1" bore, but only .043 compressed) will give you closer to 10.5:1 compression.

Are you suggesting milling the LQ9 heads would be better because 10.5:1 is preferable or beacuse milling would be cheaper than a set of LS6 heads? What do you think is the max CR that should be run in a daily driver? I'm not for adjusting tuning everyday with the weather report. We may not get as hot as you guys over there, but its warm year around and it does get humid.
BTW, did you get your snail mail yet? Should be picking up my package tomorrow or Monday!!!

10.5:1 is what the Z06 is in stock form. I really wouldn't want much higher on a daily driver tahoe. The larger the cam, the higher the compression you can get away with. The LS6 heads are very expensive and the gains you'd see over 6 liter heads would be minimal.

Where did you get the PN for the felpro gasket & where would I be able to get them online? I found what I think is felpro's site and couldn't get a matching # and I also tried Summit along w/ Jegs w/o success.
