Eveybody is different, some take a more aggressive and expensive approach and some take a more conservative and less expensive approach. I don't know why some people feel they can belittle others just because they don't agree with what they're doing to THEIR truck. Just becuase THEY would make a different choice doesn't give them the right bad mouth someone for making a another choice. I thought these message boards were all about asking questions, posting what you've done to your truck and seeing what others have done to theirs. It's not about bad mouthing, belittle and name calling someone just because they made a different choice than you would have.

you need to relax a little, you see that little winking guy next to my statement, that means i am giveing you some ****, thats all. we all have oponions and thats all i am giving.

alot of people buy too small of a converter, they are worried about the side effects and go too consertive and end up swaping out to a larger one later. i would strongly sugest before anyone buys a 2400stall that they ask around and see what others think. spend some time in the drivline section and see what they think, also is there anyone that has a yanks 2600/3000 or even a 3200 that feels the converter is stalled too high.

Relax guys, not everybody has thousands of dollars to blow on going fast. Jim I for one respect your choice and I am sure you will be happy with your choice. If your not looking for that extra tenth then you did fine.
Just because somebody chose to be different and not follow the beaten path of this board he gets crap. He did not ask for help on this thread, if he did then you can rag on him but I for one agree with Jim. He gave his opinion and what he has. That was all. Off the soapbox now.

Hey Y2K, I'd like to know how much it helps your truck out once you get it in there. That's probably the one I'm gonna be going with too on the account of I'm a little financially challenged lately.

Thanks a bunch for the feedback guys. My 95 Chevy now makes 300 rwhp, soon to have a 3:73 gear and pulls a racecar occasionally. Can I go with the 3000 stall and still get about the same mpg as a stock convertor IF i keep my foot out of it? Yes, I want my cake and eat it too!!!
What brand and part number???

y2k Go sit down and have a beer. Wheres my moderator skills so I can lock these bashing threads? Greg? John? I was thinking about this cam sitting beside me `and now knowing that I will have to get a 3000 or 3200 stall it makes me wonder if i just screwed my tow rig for my racecar. Oh well if i did I guess I can buy a old beater to pull it with. You guys think with the big stall and some 4.11s that it will pull ok?
