thanks alot for all the responses, i think i am going to go with the 3.73 gears with a posi unit, probally an eaton, before i consider getting a stall converter. right now ive got 285/60/18 goodyear eagle II tires on it and traction is sometimes a problem, nothing compared to the stock tires but still somtimes aggrivating, but really i just get sick of leaving only one mark so i think this gears will be the best thing to do first

Why are you going with a gear????
ZeroG10201 and I just told you we saw NO or very minimal gains with a 4.10! And you just want to go with 3.73's. HELLO, get a 3200 converter.
I would recommend the Eaton posi unit though!

Hello! did you just read his last post? If he is haveing traction problems now with the peg-leg, he is damn sure going to have a smoke show with a big converter. So if he is in there to put in a posi, he might as well get a little more gear while he is at it.

traction is an issue now for me, so with a bigger stall traction would be even more of a problem so i think a posi unit would be the best thing to do and while i am at it might as well do the gears and get the whole rear end settled

For every .1 you drop your 60', you should pick up .15 on the big end. is MPH lower on the big end?

You do have an HPP3 and raised shift points right? If I read this wrong please forgive me.
