Never did take any pics of that project. Will get some next time I'm under there. Looks pretty well the same as yours except for lengths of straight pipe where you have the cats. I was going to order both Ys with mine because I will need the cats for the "safety" inspection anyway if I ever want to sell the truck, but I decided to hold off for now.

I also had to struggle to get 1/8" clearance between the Y and the front driveshaft. No signs of any rubbing there. Took me half a day and just about broke my arm trying to get the Y off of the right header when I replaced my tranny. I think the clamps can dimple the pipes a little locking them together. Next time that happens I'm just cutting it off.

Noticed tonight that I also hear that knock when I start off from a stop.

Your cats look a little larger than the tiny things shown in the SW site pic.

Well I ended up under there sooner than I had hoped. Logged a bad O2 sensor last night. Here's a couple of pics of the straight pipes where your cats are as well as the driveshaft clearance. The crossover pipe has to be angled downward a little to clear the shaft. It's a little dirty under there as we are just at the end of puddle and pothole season here. Couln't get a clear shot of the space(or lack thereof) between the header and the frame. Looks like there is no space in the pics.

Thanks for the pics...I hear ya about the dirt too, we only had one decent snowstorm this year and it seems like I'm still cleaning road salt off my ride.

I tried loosening the motor mounts (the 3 bolts on each side that bolt to the frame) and got the engine to shift a bit (I can tell it moved by the markings from the bolts on the mounts). Unfortunately it didn't make a difference. I'm still just touching the frame on that one side. It just needs a slight tweak and it'll clear...

I boxed up my r/s shortie to send to Al at StainlessWorks also so they can take measurements for guys with EGR...hopefully they can make the necessary adjustments to that one primary (3rd one back on pass side) and open up the 99-02 market...bring it in 1/8 to 1/4" or so and they're there
