Ls1 fan and nelson harness ???s
#1
I installed my fans 2 weeks ago or so. They work fine and the pcm turns them off and on correctly but i cant get them to come on with the ac!? I spliced into that green wire that matched the green colored wire on the nelson harness and .... nothing! I know its not a must but the air sure is colder when theyre on. Is it the relay? Its the 2 relay harness. If someone knows what might be wrong let me know.
Thanks,
Derek

its 2 green wires in their.. i think i tapped the wrong one when i did mine..
the fans cut off and on when the temps hit 200ish? Or do they not come on at all? Its possible you didnt push the pin all the way into the pcm. Its a PITA!!! I had to pull the plastic clear peice off and get mine in right.
if thats in right, splice the blue wire that goes to the pcm. Hook a wire to that splice and ground it to the battery. The low speed fans should kick in if its grounded right. Thats just to letcha know they are working if they arent cutting on at all

With a two relay setup, each fan is on a dedicated circuit. Fan1 controlled by the pcm and fan2 controlled by the a/c compressor circuit. Fan2 will 'turn on/turn off' in conjunction with the compressor. The best test is to turn on the HVAC blower fan and set the HVAC to the defrost setting. This will cause the compressor to cycle on and off, thus the Fan2 will cycle on and off. If it does not, then something is not connected properly.
If Fan2 actually comes on when the a/c is off and the HVAC setting is on vent, something is not connected properly.
