I think I still have my stock one too, but I need it to be made out of stainless, so I can have it welded to my stainless cutout.

Why do you need stainless? You can weld mild steel to stainless all day long and hold up.

I went and looked at mine, it is rusted so bad the bolts look like they could pull through the hole if you tightened them down to much.

the stock piping is not stainless, it's aluminized.

My Silverado and Tahoe both came with 400 series stainless from the y-pipe back.

I don't want to have a completely stainless exhaust, except for 1/2 of a ball socket joint.

That's what I thought it looked like, but all my stock stuff from manifold to the cat-back is so rusted I couldn't tell

I am getting ready for my turbo install, and am going from dp, to electric cutout, to my cat-back.

Should I just cut that joint off of my cat-back, and use a bandclamp?
