Stage 8 locking header bolts
#1
I just got some of these Stage 8 locking header bolts but the instructions suck! Does anyone have these things? And is #8900 the right part number? Thanks. Just need some tips on how these things work.

I think the Stage-8 comes with like an E-clip right?
Well I'd guess: bolt goes into retainer, retainer against the header. Snap lock thingee will prevent bolt and retainer from moving

I have some that I never used because I couldn't figure them out. They were for the headers on my old V8 S10. I don't think I could got in there to put them on right anyway.
I just used regular header bolts and haven't had a problem. Torqued to 15ft-lbs on first pass then heat cycled and retorqued to 18ft-lbs on second pass. Some had worked loose after the heat cycling but, haven't since being retightened that one time.

I figured them out but I haven't put them on yet. Thanks hitman I didn't realize how simple they are. I don't have any problems with the stock bolts coming loose at all, but I am just worried about them breaking off in the head because a couple guys on here have had that happen. I got these at Nitro Daves for 38 bucks.
