SS Silverado Cam Install
#1
Anybody here done a cam install on the new Silverado SS? I've done several f-body cam installs and I'm just wondering what the difference in difficulty was if there is one. Are there any installation write ups out there? Anyways, let me know if ya'll know anything.
Thanks,
Vince

This could be helpfull. Fron what I hear, its easier on our truck since you have a lot of room to work with.

I tried to write this up in a fair amount of detail about a month ago https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....62&postcount=4. I'm using the same as slimsoftball and Gonzo 6.0 in my 2000 Yukon XL with the LQ4 6.0 Liter. It's a great cam. You need to change the springs and retainers too.

I'm installing a lunati camshaft in it. The specs are:
221/221 .558/.558 114
The valve springs are Comp part # 26-918-16
Do these trucks use the same length pushrods as what the LS1 Camaro/TA's use (7.4")?
Steve- That's a good write up. Did you ever get that volant intake?
Thanks for all the help guys!
