I think the AFR heads with the thicker deck would let run higher boost without lifting the heads. But I doubt you'll see a big horsepower increase.I'd look into better turbo housings first.

sounds like a larger turbo may be more gain than heads. congrats on 10's without nitrous jim.

Good job.

Like I said before the t-76 is not a turbo for a all out 408. You are right out of the efficientcy range the way I see it. Hence your high IAT's. Have you improved your hot side yet too. Rather then fight tooth and nail it would be easier to upgrade the turbo and the hot side. You could go low 10's on boost then.

hotside is looking prety good these days. that is 3 people sugesting a larger turbo and after looking at the maps i have to agree.

look at this map or the 76 and line up 90lb's and 2.1bar.... not so good, about 50%

now look at the 88 map, 90lb's an 2.1 bar... oh yeah, 78%

now i need to go find some calculator for that and see how much hp that might be and that is without even looking at turning it up wich i can't do with the 76.

the calculators sugest about 50hp if i dont turn up the boost at all, then room to crank it up another 200+hp on top of that and still be at 70% or better. that t88 sure has a nice map.

Will an 88 fit with just a flange change?

Parish, why not go with a bigger intercooler reservoir like the Vortech unit that Big Tex is running to make icing the intercooler easy. It's basicly a small fuel cell so the opening is large enough to pour ice into, just pickup a cheap flush valve to drain the hot water from your heat exchanger pour ice water into the reservoir and circulate it with the electric water pump until the mixture is near freezing, then stage. It's not a hightech mod,but would drop air temps by probably 20 to 30 degrees, for about $200.
