i priced a cage and it was $2000 complete with harness's, lexan window, all painted and everything, driveshaft loops too. i had it schedueld but i backed out. i may still do it eventualy but i want to go as far as i can without it. i think i will hate it and may never do it. i decided to postpone it and do some other safety related things first like a front diff and tires.

the turbo is a t76 .96ar q trim.

i have 373's, i dont know if there is any point in changing gears. i can't hook till 40mph even in 4wd and i could go 160mph in 3rd if i wanted. seems like gears(higher or lower) really wouldn't do much for me.

Well, if there was ever a truck worthy of a cage its yours.. But you are exactly right, what a PIA day in and day out.. Kinda takes the stealthyness out of your truck also..

How much crap are they giving you at the track? You seem to be able to get away with waaay more then we can here..

I thin you have a LOT to gain with some good heads. If it were me, I would be looking at a nice set of AFR 225's.
