speed limiter

is there any way of removing it with out a programmer??

You can buy a JET SCU2000, It lets you adjust tire size changes, gear changes and it removes the top speed limiter. The only problem is, I have had 4 different ones on my truck, and they have all failed. It would be better to just buy a programmer, plus you get the benefit of shift point adjustments, tuning ect...

the reason is cuz im gunna dyno my truck and the limiter is gunna mess up my #'s. dont have the cash to buy a programmer right now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

is there some wire that i can unplug or something like that?....i really only need it for the 2 pulls

You can get it dynoed in 2nd gear, the numbers will be a little less than doing it in 3rd, but you will at least get a baseline for it.

the limiter is actually part of the computer's programming. so there would be no way to fix it other than programming
